Director General of the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah since 2015, United Arab Emirates. He also holds the position of Chairman of the Economic Committee at the Secretariat of the Executive Council of Ras Al Khaimah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the "Ras Al Khaimah Center for Statistics and Studies", and Chairman of the Board of the "Ras Al Khaimah Modern Private School". He is a member of the Executive Council of Ras Al Khaimah , and Member of the Industry Committee at the Ministry of Economy, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Union Export Credit Company. He held the position of Vice Chairman of the Certificate Equivalency Committee at the Ministry of Education between 2014 and 2017, and Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry between 2007 and 2011. He also held several positions at the United Arab Emirates University, namely: Vice President for Student Affairs and Registration between 2013 and 2014, and Dean of Student Affairs between 2012 and 2013, Vice Dean of the College of Management and Economics between 2004 and 2005, Head of the Business Administration Department in the same college between 2000 and 2002, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the same college between 2005 and 2007, and Associate Professor of Finance and Banking at the College of Business and Economics from 1999 to 2015. He was also a member of the Certificate Equivalency Committee at the Ministry of Education from 2011 to 2017, a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Accountants and Auditors from 2010 to 2012, and a member of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Transport from 2006 to 2009. He holds a PhD in Finance and Banking from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom in 1999, a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1994 in the United States of America, and a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the United Arab Emirates University.
