Ali asgar joined Al Baraka Group in 2008 as a key member of the Executive Management at the Group’s Head Office. He is responsible for reporting to the Board of Directors and the Group’s Executive Management on budgetary and performance control aspects. He is also responsible for regulatory matters, including reporting to the Central Bank of Bahrain. His other responsibilities include the Group’s financial statements as well as overseeing the financial performance of all subsidiaries.

He has contributed to several due diligence projects for the acquisition of units of Al Baraka Group, in addition to several capital increase plans at the group level and at the unit level. His responsibilities also included implementing appropriate controls and processes in the finance department.

He has over 29 years of experience in finance and accounting, including over 20 years in the financial services sector in the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Prior to joining Al Baraka Group, he worked as a management accountant at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
