Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company since March 28, 2017, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company .

He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Hussein Bin Talal University, Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Minister of Education, Minister of Public Sector Development and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs between 2006 and 2007, Minister of Administrative Development and Minister of Environment in 2003, Minister of Administrative Development between 2002 and 2003, Minister of Administrative Development and Minister of Culture between 2001 and 2002, Minister of State for Administrative Development Affairs between 2000 and 2001, and Minister of State for Development between 1994 and 1995.

He also held the position of Chairman of the Administrative Control and Inspection Bureau between 1992 and 1994, Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office in 1992, Secretary-General of the Civil Service Bureau, and Assistant Professor at the University of Jordan.

He holds a PhD in Administrative Sciences from the University of Southern California, a Master’s in Political Science, a Master’s in Political Science, and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1975 from the University of Jordan.
