Head of the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University since 2018, United Arab Emirates.

He held several positions at the United Arab Emirates University , namely: Director of the Project Management Unit between 2017 and 2018, Master’s Program Coordinator between 2009 and 2017, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering between 2006 and 2015.

He was also an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham in Malaysia between 2004 and 2006, and a lecturer in the same department between 2003 and 2004.

He has 80 published research papers, and has written three sections in scientific books on biofuels.

He obtained a US patent for using carbon dioxide at a certain temperature and pressure in the production of biodiesel.

He holds a doctorate in biochemical engineering in 2003 from the University of Malaya in Malaysia, a master’s degree in chemical engineering in 1998 from the University of Putra in Malaysia, and a bachelor’s degree in the same field in 1996 from the Jordan University of Science and Technology .
