He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of  Bin Arar Holding, and founded and chaired the Board of Directors of QBQ International, and was also the owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Madain Holding.

Al Dhaheri also held the position of Director of the Real Estate Sector at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and was an economic analyst at the same authority. He was a member of the Board of Directors of both the Abu Dhabi Chamber and the National Investor.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from Seattle University in the United States of America in 1985.
