He is the founder of Zayed Al Shamsi Law Firm and Legal Consultancy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of both the Emirates Association of Lawyers and Legal Professionals and the Coordination Association of Professional Associations in the Emirates, Chairman of the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee at the National Human Rights Commission, a member of the Board of Trustees of the same Commission, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council of the College of Law at Ajman University, an accredited arbitrator at the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre Tahkeem, and an accredited legal trainer.

He is a member of the International Bar Association, the Arab Lawyers Union, the International Lawyers Network, the American Bar Association, the International Federation of Electronic Media, and a member of the Advisory Council at Al Ain University.

He held the positions of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Coordination Association between Public Benefit Associations, Chairman of the Emirates Center for Human Rights Studies, Deputy Attorney General in Dubai, and Third Vice President of the "International Association of Jurists".

He was also a member of the Emirates Human Rights Association, a member of the Advisory Council of the Dubai Courts, a member of the Executive Committee of both the International Islamic Lawyers Organization and the International Bar Association, and a member of the Scientific Council of the American University in the Emirates and the University of Sharjah.

He holds a PhD in Private Law in the field of privatization, and a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Police Sciences from the Dubai Police Academy in 1991.
