He has been Vice Chairman of Mashreq Bank since March 26, 2024, and a member of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry since July 2021.

Al Khalafi has over 16 years of experience in the technology sector in the UAE, having served as General Manager of Hewlett Packard Enterprise in the UAE between 2020 and 2022.

He worked as Senior Director of Corporate Sales at Emirates Post Group between 2018 and 2020, during which time he was responsible for the sales strategy of major and government institutions across the country, and leading the company’s major transformation initiatives. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Emirates Post’s Electronic Documents Center between 2019 and 2020.

He held several positions at Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du), including:

• Senior Manager, Government Sales and Business Solutions between 2013 and 2016.
• Director of Government Sales and Energy between 2009 and 2013.
• Strategic Relations Manager between 2008 and 2009.
• Solutions Consultant between 2006 and 2007.

He was ranked by Forbes Middle East in its 2023 “Global Meets Local” list, which highlights the most powerful regional CEOs of the world’s 100 largest multinational companies.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering from Khalifa University in 2005.
