He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Fuel Company (WOQOD), Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nakilat.

He has over 32 years of experience in various aspects of the oil and gas industry, including major project operations, restructuring, workforce management, economic evaluations and acquisitions.

He joined Qatar Energy Company, formerly known as Qatar Petroleum, in 1976 and held several positions, including Dukhan Operations Manager.

He holds a Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 from Carlton Park College in the United Kingdom.
