He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Islamic Bank since September 30, 2026, the Dubai Financial Services Authority since April 7, 2021, Mira Bank - Serbia, and Imkan Waterfront Company in Morocco, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of BankU.

He also serves on the boards of several companies, including: the Commercial International Bank in Egypt, representing Ulfa Oryx Limited since May 19, 2022, ADQ Holding Company, and Abu Dhabi Capital Group .

He has over 30 years of experience in corporate governance and strategic business roles.

He was elected as a member of the board of directors of Shuaa Capital in June 2019, then as chairman of the board of directors of the company in July of the same year and continued in his position until April 2024.

He held the position of Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at First Abu Dhabi Bank , Head of Customer Experience and Digital Banking at the same bank, and Vice Chairman of the Dubai Financial Services Authority .

He held several positions at Dubai Holding, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer, where he led its financial restructuring. He also chaired the board of Dubai Properties Group and Dubai International, and was a board member of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company , Emaar Misr , and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank in Switzerland.

He progressed through several positions at Citibank, including: Financial Analyst, Head of Customer Credit, Head of Customer Credit Units, and Head of Distribution Business.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Science and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California in the United States of America, and a certificate in performance development from the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland.
