He held the position of CEO at “ Sandah Company ” between 2022 and 2023, Assistant Managing Director and Group CEO for Operations and Digital Transformation at “Arab African International Bank”, Group Operations Manager at the same bank, Deputy CEO at “Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank” between 2015 and 2020, and Managing Director at “Standard Chartered Bank” between 2009 and 2015.

He served as Director of Corporate and Institutional Banking and Global Transaction Banking at Citibank from 1999 to 2009, Head of Cash and Trade Product Development at Societe Generale Egypt from 1997 to 1999, and Director of Business Transformation and Information Technology at IBM from 1992 to 1997.

He holds a Master’s degree in Marketing in 1999 from the American University in Cairo, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in 1992 from Ain Shams University.
