Director of the Child Safety Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah since 2018, United Arab Emirates.

She also serves as the Head of the Higher Committee of the Child Protection Centre "Kanaf", the first-of-its-kind in the UAE and the region. 

Al Yafei has extensive experience in raising awareness about child safety and how to protect them from all kinds of risks, including cyberbullying, the negative effects of social media among others.

She earned her Executive Master’s in Business Administration with distinction from the University of Sharjah in 2021 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at the same university.

Al Yafei has a proven track record of achievements, including leading "the Child Safety Forum", which hosts panel discussions about child safety issues.

Under her supervision, the department is organising the "Cyber Safety Ambassadors", a peer-to-peer initiative that aims to raise awareness among children and young people about cyber safety, by providing them with the required skills and training, who will then guide their peers towards best online practices.

Al Yafei has prepared several specialized and in-depth studies that contribute to analyzing and understanding the challenges and needs related to child safety.

In addition to her role as Director General of the Child Safety Department and Head of the Higher Committee of the Child Protection Centre Kanaf, Al Yafei holds membership in several prominent committees, including:

• World Safer Internet Day Committee of The Khalifa Empowerment Programme "Aqdar".
• Child Protection Council in school environment, an affiliate of the Child Protection Unit, the Ministry of Education
• National Bullying Prevention Committee in School Environment, at the Counselling & Wellbeing Directory of the Ministry of Education 
• Executive Committee of “Sharjah Healthy City” programme of the Sharjah Health Authority. 
• Committee of Healthy Schools Programme, launched by the Health Promotion Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
• Sharjah Private Education Authority’s Executive Committee of the Regional Conference on Early Childhood. 
• Emirates Child Protection Association.
