He is the Senior Director of Real Estate Sector Policy and Innovation at the Dubai Land Department, President of the International Federation of Real Estate FIABCI in the UAE, an Associate Researcher at the Center for Competitiveness at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland.

Al-Burai is an assistant professor of management at the American University in Dubai, director of the Middle East Cities Center at the same university, chairman of the board of directors of the ARISE UAE Alliance, founder and chairman of the Middle East Institute for Sustainable Development.

He is a member of the board of directors of the International Real Estate Federation FIABCI, and a member of the academic staff of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School.

He served as a senior economic advisor at the Dubai Land Department, and as a senior advisor at the Real Estate Regulatory Agency RERA, which is part of the same department. He also chaired the Education and Academic Affairs Committee at the International Real Estate Federation and the Real Estate Technology Society, and was the founding CEO of the Dubai Real Estate Institute.

• Master's degree in International Business Law from Assas International University in France in 2023.
• Master's degree in Real Estate from the National University of Singapore NUS in 2017.
• Master's degree in Financial Management from the American University in Dubai in 2010.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the American University in Dubai in 2006.
