Chairman of the Emirates Association of Financial Markets since January 2009, United Arab Emirates. He has been Senior Manager of Global Markets and Treasury at Emirates NBD since 1997, General Manager of the Advanced Studies and Training Center since 2000, Chairman of the Middle East Financial Markets Association (ACI), Board Member of the International Financial Markets Association (ACI), and UAE Representative at the Arab Federation of Financial Markets in Beirut. Prior to joining Emirates NBD, he worked at the British Bank of the Middle East (now HSBC) where he was responsible for overseeing off-balance sheet activities in the Treasury and Capital Markets Operations Department. He was also a member of the Asset Liability Management Committee at Emirates Islamic Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emirates NBD. He holds a Master’s degree in International Banking and Securities from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom in 1997, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Connecticut State University in the United States of America in 1996.
