She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry since July 18, 2021.

She served as CEO of Standard Chartered Bank UAE , making her the first Emirati woman to head a bank in the UAE. She was also the General Manager and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at First Abu Dhabi Bank , Executive Director and Head of Client Relations at National Bank of Abu Dhabi , and General Manager of the Corporate Banking Group at the same bank.

She has over 25 years of experience in the banking sector.

Forbes Middle East ranked her among the "100 Most Powerful Businesswomen in the Middle East for 2023," "50 Most Powerful Businesswomen in the Middle East for 2022," and "Most Powerful Businesswomen in the Middle East" for 2021 and 2020.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Engineering from Royal Holloway, University of London, in 1992.
