He served as the Supply Chain and Logistics Team Leader at the Dubai Coronavirus Control and Command Center, Vice President of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences for Administrative Affairs and Professional Services, and Director of the Mobile Clinics Program at the same university.

He assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Sector at Dubai Healthcare City. Prior to joining Dubai Healthcare City, he held the position of Medical Director and Vice President of Medical Operations at ADNOC Onshore.

Al Zarouni held several positions in the Dubai Health Authority, including: Director of Medical Affairs at Hatta Hospital, Director of Airport Medical Center, Director of Investigations in the Medical Complaints Department, Director of the Health Complaints Project, and Resident Physician in Family Medicine in the Health and Medical Services Department.

He holds a PhD in Business Administration from the Swiss "SBS" Business School in 2021, a Master of Science in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons, Dubai Branch in 2008, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the same college in Ireland in 2004.
