Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah “RAKBank” , United Arab Emirates.

He held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Ras Al Khaimah Real Estate Company ” between March 2018 and April 2021, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Ras Al Khaimah , and “Ras Al Khaimah University of Medicine and Health Sciences”.

He joined Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) in 1977, and held several previous positions in senior management, including: Chairman of the Board of Directors between 2005 and 2012, CEO between 2004 and 2005, Deputy General Manager, and Director of the Ras Al Khaimah Region. He represented the company in many regional and international forums, and his beginnings with the company were in the engineering department.

He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thuraya Satellite Communications Company between 1997 and 2012, and Chairman of the Higher Colleges of Technology .

He has received numerous awards for his personal contributions to the telecommunications sector, including Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Middle East CEOs, Abu Dhabi Economic Forum, Middle East Business Leaders Summit, and the 2010 International CEO Award from the International Telecommunications Awards Jury in the UK.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering in 1977 from Cairo University .
