He held the position of Head of Major Projects, Research and Technology at Petrochemical Industries Company between 2018 and 2022, Vice President of Projects at MEGlobal, and was a member of the Board of Directors of EQUATE Petrochemical Company .

During a career spanning nearly 20 years, Alajmi held a number of positions at Petrochemical Industries Company in planning, projects and business analysis for the fertilizer, glycol, olefins and aromatics sectors.

He holds a PhD in Business Administration from Brunel Business School in the United Kingdom, an MBA from Maastricht Business School in Kuwait, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo in the United States of America.
