The Saudi Energy Company, formerly known as the Saudi Electricity Company, was established on April 5, 2000, and has been listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) since June 2002.
Specializing in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity throughout the Kingdom, the company has a production capacity of approximately 34,000 megawatts. It is the primary producer of electrical energy in Saudi Arabia and provides services to various government, industrial, agricultural, commercial, and residential sectors.
The company has several subsidiaries, including: Saudi Energy Production Company, National Grid SA, Dawiyat Integrated Telecommunications & Information Technology Company, Saudi Electricity Project Development Company.
