He has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Electricity Company since January 23, 2024, a member of the Board of Directors of Gulf International Bank - Saudi Arabia since 2019, Gulf International Bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain since 2018, and the Policies and Regulatory Control Committee of the Saudi Stock Exchange "Tadawul" since 2016.

He co-founded “ Al-Zaid Al-Sheikh and Al-Rashed Law Firm ”, and was its CEO between 2017 and 2022. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the “ National Center for Privatization ” between 2017 and 2022.

He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Electricity Company between 2018 and 2024, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mediterranean and Gulf Cooperative Insurance and Reinsurance Company (MedGulf) between 2018 and 2019, and Chief Executive Officer of Governance and Legal Accountability at Al Rajhi Bank between 2016 and 2017. He held several positions at the Saudi Capital Market Authority , namely: Board Member between 2014 and 2016, General Counsel and Director of the Legal Affairs Department between 2008 and 2014, and Assistant General Counsel between 2004 and 2008.

He also worked as a legal advisor at the Islamic Development Bank between 2001 and 2004, and at the World Bank during 2000.

He holds a PhD in Legal Sciences in 2010 from the George Washington University School of Law in the United States of America, a Master of Laws in 1999 from the University of Minnesota in the United States of America, a Higher Diploma in Law in 1995 from the Institute of Public Administration in Saudi Arabia, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Law and Jurisprudence in 1994 from Umm Al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia.
