CEO of National Bank of Egypt operations in the United Arab Emirates since March 2026.

He has over 25 years of professional experience in the financial sector, during which he moved between major international and local banking institutions, and worked in diverse markets including Egypt and the Gulf, where he served as CEO of One Bank, and headed the SME and microfinance sector, in addition to supervising Islamic banking at Bank Misr .

He was a member of the board of directors of both "Future City" in Cairo and the "Egyptian Company for Takaful Insurance", and a member of the advisory board of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce "AHK Egypt".

He held several positions at Barclays Bank , including:

• Director of Retail and Corporate Banking Services in Egypt.
• Director of Strategy, Business Development, Corporate Relations and Marketing in Egypt.
• Head of Financial Planning and Analysis for Emerging Markets in the UAE.
• The financial director in Russia.

He was also the Director of Global Transaction Banking and Middle East and North Africa Group at Citibank, a senior financial analyst at the same bank, and served as Head of Financial Performance and Reporting at Vodafone.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration degree from Ain Shams University (1999), a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) certificate, and completed the Organizational Leadership Program at Harvard University in 2019.
